Are you aware of where you are?
Not always.
Or, more often, not with a comprehensive view on your position in the space; on which is your direction both in a conscious or in a blurred but deeper way; on your age and the way you are aging; on your state of mind; on what is leading you there and will guide you out of the spot you are in.
Only when you fully understand your position in the world and in yourself, you can decide which opportunities you can have.
Walking or travelling are often abused metaphors of life. Yet, sometimes it happens that a work of art helps us to go back to the point. This is what happens thanks to a simple marble tag by Alberto Garutti, which from April 20th will be put on the floor of the main hall of Malpensa Airport and that will proliferate on the floor of at least three other places: the Orio Al Serio and the Linate Airports, and the train station Cadorna, last station in the centre of Milan for all shuttles coming from Malpensa Airport.
In a simple Helvetica font, on the marble it had been carved: “every step I have taken in my life has led me here, now”. You can tell it literally and be bored by this banal assertion. But one could also start thinking from where he came, why, within which state of mind.
And one could ask him/herself if the path we are following is the right one for who we are now, or is just the result of a decision that had been taken long ago and that has nothing to do with what we slowly became. Do we really need to be there? Are we still taking care of our true desires?
Listening to the voice that answers these questions, an inner voice, which in the meantime shouts and murmurs, it could be the only way to open up new opportunities for our lives and for those who are involved in it.
Awake!
Come out of your hypnotic and blind walk. Think on whatever you have done as a premise to stop entering doors that you already opened long time ago.
This is what the dark green stone has to tell us. Look at the past to go towards new directions.
